FAQ: What Does C.H or C.Ht Mean?
CH stands for Certified Hypnotist and C.Ht stands for Certified Hypnotherapist. These credentials are interchangeable. The certified hypnotherapist is one that has gained certification as a C.H or C.Ht. through a professional organization such as IMDHA, IACT, or NGH has at the minimum level, training in basic and advanced hypnosis with a minimum of 120 hour specialized hypnosis instruction (the number of hours may vary depending on the certificate-granting organization).
Please research these organizations. It seems that a lot of online and relatively new organizations have come on to the scene in the past 10 years or so that have some people questioning their credibility. I would start by google’ing their name and see what comes up, also make sure they are not just using a POBox for their address.
Hypnosis training should be done in person, not online since actual work with people is essential when one is learning how to hypnotize people.
